 Carhartt

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Immigrant farmers were given an ID declaring their “essential worker” status, despite years of being labeled as “illegal.” Carhartt is a brand that exemplifies the American worker, but who we picture as these workers is much different than many people even recognize.

So while the country does not have the back of the hands that feed us, Carhartt does.

Due to the quick turnaround time of the project (1 month), the team asked me to come on as a second producer in order to get this project rolling. With little knowledge of production, I took on casting and assisted art directors with props and set design in order to make sure everything went as planned.

MY ROLE

  • Created casting calls and organized different casting options for the directors

  • Contacted, negotiated payment, and made arrangements with talent and various extras

  • Helped to problem solve how to protect gear outside when a massive snowstorm hit Utah the night before our first day of filming

  • Worked quickly to find extras when actors were unable to come at the last minute

  • Assisted art directors and production needs on set
